Expressions of Congratulation

A. Pengertian 
       Congratulation adalah noun (kata benda) yang memiliki beberapa makna. Kata ini dapat merupakan countable atau uncountable. Sebagai countable noun kata ini selalu dalam bentuk plural (jamak), yakni congratulation. Plural noun bermakna "a message congratulating someone; words that congratulate someone" untuk mengungkapkan bahwa kamu ikut berbahagia dengan keberuntungan atau kesuksesan seseorang. Kata ini biasanya diawali verb (kata kerja) offer atau send.

B. Contoh
     Contoh kalimat ucapan selamat dalam Bahasa Inggris (Congratulation) :
  1. Many people sent congratulation to the national team. (Banyak orang mengirimkan pesan berisi ucapan selamat kepada tim nasional tersebut).
  2. I convey my congratulation to you! (Saya ucapkan selamat kepada anda!) 
  3. Congratulations on your getting title
(Selamat atas gelar anda).
  4. Congratulations on getting a new job!
(Selamat mendapar kerja baru!).
  5. Congratulations on your promotion!
(Selamat atas kenaikan pangat anda).

Siti has just got the first prize in the “Bakiak race” to celebrate Indonesia Independence day.
